I think it is tremendous that the BBC documented this little known vernacular harvesting practice. You are fortunate to be there to experience this seasonal ritual.

Wow. There is so much to learn about the world. I do know that if one plants Cheerios in the spring after all danger of frost is passed, by mid July the doughnut plants will be in peak production, and nothing tastes better than a freshly picked chocolate donut with sprinkles.
