I think the Kingston Trio's old song , M.T.A. , could be the anthem for anyone living in Boston. I'm trying to share the YouTube link but am having trouble on my phone.

While it’s not a town per say I spent many summers on Cape Cod and grew up listening to ‘Old Cape Cod’. It certainly is a different place now than it was then but the song still brings me back.

Oh this is most definitely a place song! More descriptive than most- and perfectly so! I found this version. Does it sound familiar?

My parents played James Taylor a lot growing up. Even though I’m from Northern California, “Carolina in my mind” always takes me back to my childhood home.

Oh this is a great song! There’s something about James Taylor’s voice that sounds or feels like Northern California, no matter what he’s singing about. Thank you for reminding me of this song!

Great list, Susan, these are from growing up in Branford? Mellencamp's Small Town is spot on! And Fly Me to the Moon is an all-time favorite of mine. Sounds like you had a huge variety of music influences in your life at a young age.

Some of those clips certainly looked like Chicago! Hot, sticky, humid summers in the city.

Fun to see the ones at the end were definitely in Rome.

I always got so excited when Get Back came on the radio because it mentions my hometown, Tucson, AZ. I still feel a little hometown pride when I hear it now!
