Could a home in a historic Baglio be the perfect place for me? Great view, recently renovated, and next to a restaurant, what could possibly be the downside?
you're right, 'practically' was unnecessary (plus, as a writer of fiction, I should perpetually try to kill my adverbs). Internet famous, for sure!
And yes, I've had a huge uptick in new subscribers, entirely thanks to you and your very kind recommendation. I'm inspired and a little intimidated. Hope you're getting a tsunami in new subscribers. More people deserve to find Finding Home! keep it up!
Good question. Sicily to be exact. To me it seems like the difference between living in Ketchum or living in the south valley. I’ll always pick the south.
I fell in love with Sicily when I was there in 2020. It felt like home. Bonus: the pace of life is slower and the climate suits me. There’s more but that’s a good start 🔆
I love these installments! The property seems a tad small for a full-time place, but looks great from the outside. And the mold and lack of bathroom necessities...well.
Thank you, Joan! Yes, the place was small. More windows - any windows - on the other walls would help at least give the illusion of space. And theoretically, one could use the patio outside, in the center of the baglio as outdoor living space. But still ...
Jan! You're featured on Substack!!! That's so amazing. Clearly a sign of quality. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you, Michael. That is kind. Looking forward to your next story!
You're practically internet famous! It's really fun! And yes, I have to keep writing. Fingers crossed!
😆practically!😆
I hope that listing Holy Writ as one of my recommendations funnels some traffic your way. 🤞

Why Italy?
Looks lovely, but like a lot of work.
Fortunately, my reno days are behind me.
