Introducing Antica Fermata Latomie

A first look at my Sicily home
17

It has now been four weeks since I returned from my last trip to Sicily - the trip when the house officially became ours.

I’m new to shooting video so I purchased a new iPhone (13 mini- not at all happy with it) and a selfie stick/tripod. Yikes. Not as easy as it looks - at least not easy for me. I have a lot to learn. And then stringing together videos and photos into an iMovie… quite a number of challenges! Hopefully, it will get smoother with time. Meanwhile, please be kind. This took a lot longer than expected to pull together.

All in all, it’s a pretty good representation of the house and my time there in September/October. Three weeks was not nearly enough time, but it was a start. Inshallah, Tom and I will return in February to assess further and see how the house fares in winter weather.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Turns out I had to start a YouTube channel after all. Or maybe I didn’t - but it seemed like the only way I could get it to download. And is it just me or is the quality of the picture really low?

Italy
Sometimes travel is for fun, adventure, and something new. Other times, travel brings us home. When I spent 4 months in Italy due to Covid-19, I discovered home in a country that, up to then, was completely foreign to me. And now it's home.
