Bellevue, Idaho! My wife and I were newlywed Haileyans from 1980-1983, when we moved to Botswana, and in the process, reduced our possessions down to one U-Haul dishpack box, except for our newly built house on the west side of the Sawtooths. Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity.

Yes! or K.I.S.S. as they say: Keep It Simple S... well, you're smart, you know! :)

And now I’m finally unpacking my books in that house on the west side of the Sawtooths. I’m hoping I can finish the job this week. Eight bookcases so far.

I don’t count books as material possessions, but as analog backups for my Kindle books.

What I didn’t expect was the number of first editions I am finding. I may eBay those so that when my kids do the $5 per hundred weight book sale after I leave this mortal coil, they won’t make someone else rich. I’ll squirrel away the money into my Depends fund.

Oh Jan, I didn’t expect that ending! But how can one be patient while starving?

So hard to part with those things that belonged to someone we care about. I have a cow creamer….and a red riding hood sugar bowl.

oh my goodness, these sound adorable! I've seen cow creamers (and love them) but a red riding hood sugar bowl?? adorable! And yes, when they belonged to someone dear to you, they become more precious than anything!
