Wonderful Michigan memories, Jan! We had raspberries, mulberries and rhubarb. We also had a pear tree and grapes, but the memories of picking raspberries and mulberries definitely bring back similar memories of picking around home 😁

You’ve inspired me to make a blueberry pie for the 4th! Also I have 2 blueberry bushes that are so heavy with berries this year, I can’t wait for them to ripen. I’m hoping to plant a couple more bushes in the fall. LOVE them!

What a lovely piece, Jan, redolent of summer, home, and comfort. Just the grounding we need as chaos swirls around us. Thank you!

One of my favorites. As often as possible have them every morning on my cereal.

Knew about the antioxidant part, good to hear about blood pressure and heart health.

Forget if they do anything for my memory. 😁

I have fairly good memories of picking blueberries in the backyard of my maternal Grandmother's lake house, that has no access to it by road, you had to access it by boat. On the foundations of a single Mother and a Grandmother, my sense of home was built. Luckily there were also wild raspberries and blackberries, dogs, racoons and many careless years as well.
